Mega Tinkering Day 2025

Salwan Boys Sr Sec School celebrated Mega Tinkering Day 2025 on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. It was a nationwide Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) event for all 10,000 Atal Tinkering Lab schools to participate in a one-hour ‘Do-It-Yourself (DIY)’ project challenge, building a DIY vacuum cleaner. The event aimed to promote student innovation and hands-on learning across India.

 

 

79th Independence Day Celebration at Salwan Boys Senior Secondary School

The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great pride and patriotic fervour at Salwan Boys Senior Secondary School on Thursday, 14 August 2025. The celebration began with a warm welcome to Chairman, Shri V.K. Garg IRS (Retd.), by the NCC cadets who presented him with a Guard of Honour.

The programme commenced with hoisting of the National Flag, followed by National Anthem that filled everyone’s hearts with pride. The cultural events opened with a heartfelt speech on the significance of Independence Day. A series of vibrant performances followed, including dances, speeches, a skit depicting the struggle for freedom and a patriotic poem that deeply touched the audience.

 On this occasion the school also recognised academic excellence, and the meritorious students from classes X and XII were awarded certificates for their achievements. In his inspiring address, the Hon’ble Chairman highlighted India’s steady progress and reminded students that the best tribute to our freedom fighters would be to contribute sincerely to the nation’s development. His message was further echoed by Hon’ble Director, Sh. Anil Kumar, who motivated the students with his thoughtful words.

 The event concluded with a warm vote of thanks by Shri Naresh Kumar, Principal, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of pride and responsibility towards the nation.

 

 

Vidyanjali Activity - Rakhi Making

On Monday, 04 August 2025, Salwan Boys Senior Secondary School organised a Vidyanjali Activity on Rakhi Making conducted by Ms. Seema, a volunteer. The session was held in the school premises and witnessed active participation of around 120 students. Using mould-it clay, cardboard and colours, students created beautiful rakhis. The activity encouraged creativity, hands-on learning and festive spirit among learners.

Salwanians Shine on 79th Independence Day

On the 79th Independence Day of India, a delegation from Salwan Public School, Gurugram, including NCC cadets and the school band, performed at Government Model Sanskriti Sr. Sec. School, Sector-43, Gurugram. Shri Laxman Singh Yadav, Hon’ble MLA of Rewari, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The celebration began with the inspection of contingents, flag hoisting, and the National Anthem. A vibrant march past by Haryana Police and NCC cadets, accompanied by the Salwan School Band, enhanced the event. The Chief Guest praised the performances and awarded trophies. The programme concluded with the National Anthem and group photographs, evoking pride and unity.

 

 

CBSE Cluster XV Table Tennis Tournament (Girls) 2025

The CBSE Cluster XV Girls Table Tennis Championship 2025 was inaugurated with great enthusiasm at Salwan Public School, Gurugram. The three-day tournament, held from 22 to 24 August 2025, witnessed spirited participation and impressive performances from leading schools across the region.

The inaugural ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana, followed by a warm welcome of the distinguished guests — Dr. Rajesh Vashisth, CBSE Observer, and Mr. Vipin Mehra — by the Principal, Mrs. Rashmi Malik.

The event also featured the hoisting of the CBSE flag, a vibrant march-past by participating schools, and an oath-taking ceremony pledging sportsmanship and discipline. In his address, Dr. Rajesh Vashisth highlighted the importance of sports in shaping character and formally declared the tournament open.

The championship brought together athletes from 12 districts, with over 130 students competing across three age groups: Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19. The matches reflected not only skill and determination but also camaraderie and a true sporting spirit.

The tournament concluded on a high note with the National Anthem, leaving the campus filled with an atmosphere of pride, enthusiasm, and celebration of sportsmanship.

 

 

DHAROHAR 2025: Inter-School Event

On Wednesday, 13 August 2025, Salwan Public School, Gurugram transformed into a vibrant canvas of cultural expression as it hosted the Dharohar Inter-School Competition, organised by the Heritage Club – Upnidhi.

The event celebrated the grandeur of Indian music, performing arts, and visual arts, filling the day with rhythm, colour, and creative brilliance. With the enthusiastic participation of 20 schools from across Delhi-NCR in seven diverse events, the competition was not just a showcase of talent but a living tribute to the unifying power of India’s artistic heritage, inspiring all to cherish and preserve the cultural threads that bind us together.

Salwan Public School, Ghaziabad Celebrates Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour

Salwan Public School, Ghaziabad, commemorated India’s 79th Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The celebrations began on Wednesday, 13 August with a special assembly on the school ground. The programme commenced with a warm welcome, followed by a heartfelt prayer by the school choir. The Heads of the institution hoisted the National Flag, and the gathering proudly sang the National Anthem, fostering a sense of unity and pride.

Students of Class X delivered an inspiring talk on Gandhian philosophy, emphasizing peace and conflict resolution. The cultural segment showcased vibrant dance performances by primary and senior students, soul-stirring patriotic songs, and poignant poetry recitations by students and the Headmistress. A thought-provoking nukkad natak titled “Har Ghar Tiranga” vividly portrayed the sacrifices of freedom fighters and rekindled the spirit of patriotism among all present. The youngest Salwanians from Nursery and UKG classes presented a lively Janmashtami-themed dance, adding colour and cheer to the occasion. The Principal addressed the gathering, motivating students to uphold the values of freedom and responsibility.

In the run-up to Independence Day, the school also organised a Cycle Rally, promoting the message of health, environmental consciousness, and patriotism. Students and teachers cycled through nearby localities, spreading the spirit of Har Ghar Tiranga and encouraging active citizenship among the community.

Inclusive Duniya Circle: Fostering Empathy and Inclusion

“Inclusion begins with understanding – and understanding begins with a conversation.”

SPS, RN organised ‘Inclusive Duniya Circle’, an interactive programme  for primary class students to sensitise them to the needs and challenges of Children With Special Needs (CWSN) on 07 August 2025. The session was conducted by Ms. Pooja (Founder) and Ms. Charuvi (Senior Facilitator) from The Sarvodya Collective, an organisation recognised among the Top 100 Global Educational Innovations of 2025 by HundrED.

Conducted as part of Inclusive Duniya Month, the session used engaging Circle Time discussions and specially designed comics to promote inclusiveness.  The interactive format not only deepened their awareness of diverse abilities but also nurtured empathy, encouraged respect for differences, and inspired practical ideas to foster inclusion in daily school life.

 

 

Beyond Celebration: Freedom that Feeds, Heals, and Unites

Salwan Public School , RN  marked the 79th Independence Day with a meaningful theme-’Community Well-being’, emphasising that an aware and engaged community forms the backbone of a progressive nation and embodying these values through awareness, unity, and service.

The celebrations began with a spirited Prabhat Pheri led by the students of classes VI-VIII in the school’s vicinity, spreading the message of three vital freedoms for a healthier society:

  • Freedom from Ignorance on Vector-Borne Diseases
  • Freedom from Mindless Waste Disposal
  • Freedom for a Tobacco-Free Environment 

The procession saw the active participation of the members of the Resident Welfare Association (RWA), symbolising the power of community partnership in driving change. Back at the campus, the energy shifted from marching feet to rhythmic beats as students presented a cultural dance performance beautifully aligned with the Independence Day theme of blending patriotism with the spirit of social responsibility. Ms. Priyanka Barara, the school Principal, in her address, extended heartfelt thanks to the RWA members for their encouragement and support, acknowledging their role in inspiring the students.

The day concluded with a deeply meaningful act of service rendered by the students from Class VII, council members, and primary sections. They served Langar to the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS). The wholesome meal, lovingly prepared by parents, was more than just food—it was a gesture of gratitude, empathy, and the school’s core value of Service Before Self in action.

Independence Day Special Assembly

Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar, marked Independence Day with a special assembly on Wednesday, 13 August 2025. The celebration featured a patriotic song, a powerful nukkad natak, and a vibrant dance on Shri Krishna Janmashtami, culminating in the ceremonial flag hoisting. Students of Classes VI to XII then engaged in a range of creative activities, including Tiranga brooch making, kite crafting, letter writing to the Armed Forces and police, Tiranga rangoli, rakhi making, poster designing, stamp creation on UN 80, and poetry on patriotism. The day beautifully blended pride, creativity, and reverence, inspiring students with the true spirit of independence.

 

 

Little Stars Shine in Janmashtami and Independence Day Assembly

On Tuesday, 12 August 2025, Classes Nursery and KG at Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar, presented a delightful assembly to celebrate Janmashtami and Independence Day. Nursery students beautifully depicted the different stages of Lord Krishna’s life, dressed adorably as little Krishnas and Radhas, their innocent performances filling the atmosphere with devotion and joy. Adding to the spirit of the occasion, Kindergarten students presented a vibrant patriotic dance, brimming with energy and pride. Some also came dressed as freedom fighters, confidently speaking about their roles in India’s independence. The celebration concluded with a blend of patriotism, devotion, and childlike enthusiasm.
