Workshop on Drug Abuse
On Tuesday, 26 August 2025, Salwan Boys Senior Secondary School, Rajendra Nagar organised a Workshop on Drug Abuse under Vidyanjali activities. The session benefitted 115 students and aimed to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and substance abuse. Students were guided on making informed choices to lead healthy and responsible lives.
Three distinguished volunteers from Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS), an initiative guided by His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, graced the event with their presence. The resource persons included Mr. Animesh, Officer at Panchayati Raj, Government of India; Dr. Nimish, Ph.D. from IIT Delhi; and Mr. Ritik, Engineer at Deloitte. Their valuable insights had a meaningful impact on our young learners.

Alumni Partnership Programme
Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar, organised an enriching alumni interaction on Saturday, 02 August 2025, under its Alumni-Partnership Programme. Mr Ganesh Sanker (Batch 2012–2013) addressed students on the theme ‘Future-Ready: Skills, Mindsets & Technologies that will Build Entrepreneurs and Leaders’. He highlighted the importance of collaboration, lifelong learning, and ethical grounding in a rapidly changing world. Introducing students to tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Bard, Perplexity, Descript, Runway, Grammarly, and Notion, he also showcased platforms like Gamma, Tome, Canva, and Kittl for impactful presentations. The session, concluding with an engaging Q&A, inspired students to embrace digital fluency while valuing human creativity and judgement.
Conglomerate
Three students from classes Nursery and KG had the opportunity to represent SPS Mayur Vihar in Conglomerate—an interschool event held at GD Goenka Public School, Rohini on Saturday, 02 August 2025.
Young participants showcased their talents with great enthusiasm and confidence. The event proved to be a valuable learning experience, helping enhance their speaking skills and boosting their self-confidence.
English Rhyme Recitation Competition
On Monday, 25 August 2025, students from classes Nursery and KG at SPS, MV participated in an English Rhyme Recitation Competition based on the theme of Seasons. The young learners recited various rhymes related to different seasons, showcasing their creativity and expression through vibrant props, engaging actions, and sound modulation. The performances were judged on the basis of uniqueness and originality of the rhyme, effective use of props, clarity of speech, overall presentation, and stage presence. This competition served as a wonderful platform for students to build self-confidence, enhance their speaking skills. It was delightful to see young learners perform with so much energy and excitement.
Parent Partnership Programme
As part of the Parent Partnership Programme, Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar organised an insightful workshop on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Class IX students, on 06 August 2025, in collaboration with the Indian Society for Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM). The session was facilitated by Dr Astha Taneja, a critical care specialist and parent of Advita Taneja (Class VII). Students gained both theoretical knowledge and practical training, enabling them to respond effectively in emergencies. The workshop not only built confidence but also fostered responsibility, compassion, and awareness about first aid and emergency care. Certificates of participation will be awarded to all attendees.
Promoting Clean Living: SPS MV Students Lead Awareness Drive
On Friday, 08 August 2025, a survey was conducted in the adjacent residential society to assess the residents’ awareness about the segregation of dry and wet waste. The objective was to understand their current practices and encourage proper waste management. Along with this survey, students also displayed posters on vector-borne diseases at various locations within the society premises. The activity was well-received and served as a meaningful step toward promoting community health and environmental responsibility.
Rally on Making India Sustainable
To celebrate the 79th Independence Day, Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar organised a spirited rally on Thursday, 14 August 2025, to champion the vision of a Sustainable India. With thought-provoking placards and resonant slogans, students marched through nearby streets and residential societies, raising awareness on clean energy, water conservation, equality, and responsible consumption. A compelling Nukkad Natak further inspired citizens to safeguard resources and minimise waste. Guided by teachers, students also shared practical eco-friendly tips with residents, who warmly appreciated their efforts. The initiative highlighted the school’s commitment to nurturing responsible citizens and promoting collective action for a greener future.
अभिव्यक्ति 2.0: अंतर्विद्यालयी हिंदी भाषायी प्रतियोगिता
सलवान पब्लिक स्कूल, मयूर विहार में 2 अगस्त 2025 को ‘अभिव्यक्ति 2.0’ अंतर्विद्यालयी हिंदी प्रतियोगिता का भव्य आयोजन हुआ। इसमें कविता पाठ, श्लोक उच्चारण, लोकगीत, कठपुतली कहानी, पात्र चरित्रांकन और एकांकी जैसी प्रतियोगिताएं हुईं। सलवान एजुकेशन ट्रस्ट सहित दिल्ली-एनसीआर के कई विद्यालयों के छात्रों ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया। इस आयोजन का उद्देश्य रचनात्मकता को बढ़ावा देना, आपसी सहयोग को प्रोत्साहित करना और भारतीय संस्कृति को सम्मान देना था।
कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ मुख्य अतिथि डॉ. पूरन चंद टंडन द्वारा दीप प्रज्ज्वलन से हुआ। उन्होंने विभिन्न सम्मान प्राप्त किए हैं और हिंदी साहित्य के प्रतिष्ठित विद्वान हैं। प्रधानाचार्या ने सभी प्रतिभागियों को शुभकामनाएँ दीं। प्रतियोगिताओं का मूल्यांकन प्रस्तुति, पोशाक, पात्र चयन व समयबद्धता के आधार पर किया गया। समापन समारोह में कवि श्री सुनहरी लाल वर्मा की प्रस्तुति रही और विजेताओं को पुरस्कार वितरित किए गए। समग्र चैम्पियन ट्रॉफी सलवान पब्लिक स्कूल, गुरुग्राम को मिली। कार्यक्रम सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न हुआ और सभी के लिए एक यादगार अनुभव बना।

Green Day 3.0: Nurturing Young Minds with Learning, Nature & Mindfulness
The Salwan Montessori School joyfully celebrated its 3rd Green Day with the theme ‘Quality Education’, highlighting the importance of nurturing young minds in harmony with nature.
The celebration began with the planting of a sapling, symbolising growth, sustainability, and the power of education in shaping a brighter future. The little learners expressed their joy through a graceful dance and a melodious song on Shiksha, spreading the message that true education enriches both hearts and minds.
Inspiring words were shared by school Headmistress, who encouraged children and parents to embrace the values of learning and holistic development.
Ms. Seema Chawla from The Art of Living was the special guest for the day. She interacted warmly with the children, explained the essence of quality education, and guided everyone through a short meditation session – helping them connect learning with inner calm and mindfulness.
The day truly embodied the spirit of learning, growth, and harmony with nature, leaving both children and adults enriched with values that will last a lifetime.
