Annual Day – “ज्ञान दरोहर”
Salwan Montessori School, Gurugram celebrated its spectacular Annual Day on Sunday, 30 November 2025, with great splendour and cultural vibrance.
The grand event commenced with a warm Welcome Address, followed by the dignified felicitation of the Chief Guest, Sh. Anil Swaroop (Retd. IAS officer and author) by the School Chairman and the Headmistress.
The sacred Lighting of the Lamp set an atmosphere of wisdom and auspicious beginnings. A soul-stirring Shiv Aradhana, performed with grace and devotion, mesmerized the audience.
In his inspiring address, Chairman Shri Vinay Mittal applauded the school’s efforts in nurturing students with strong values while equipping them with skills for the future. The stage then came alive with an extraordinary theatrical presentation portraying Chanakya’s teachings, leadership philosophies, and the evolution of education from the ancient halls of Takshashila to the AI-driven digital era. The audience enthusiastically applauded the young performers for their brilliant expressions, flawless coordination, and dramatic excellence.
A thought-provoking Nukkad Natak emphasized the significance of sustainable living and showcased the school’s pioneering initiative—its self-conceptualized 18th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG): Happiness, Rest & Balance, underscoring emotional well-being as the cornerstone of a fulfilling life.
The Chief Guest encouraged students to become visionary thinkers with compassionate hearts. Headmistress Ms. Sona Gombar extended heartfelt gratitude to all parents, staff, and contributors who made the event a grand success.
The celebration concluded on a patriotic note with the National Anthem, filling every heart with pride and reverence.
Gurpurab Celebration
“He who regards all men as equal is religious.” – Guru Nanak Dev Ji
Keeping in view the secular ethos of Salwan Montessori School, Guru Nanak Jayanti was celebrated with great devotion, joy, and enthusiasm in the school premises.
A special assembly was organised where children beautifully explained the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji highlighting the values of doing good deeds, praying daily, and sharing with others.
Students dressed as Panj Pyare led a prabhat pheri, singing melodious hymns and spreading positivity all around.
A Langar was lovingly prepared and served, where our little Salwanians actively participated in sewa and shared the langar prasad together — a true reflection of unity and humility.
The celebration was further graced by the presence of grandparents and parents during the soulful Sukhmani Sahib Path. Kada Prasad was distributed to everyone, marking the conclusion of a spiritually enriching day filled with gratitude, love, and harmony. The festival was celebrated by all with great pride, honour, and respect — a beautiful tribute to Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s timeless teachings.

Children’s Day Celebrations
Children’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Friday, 14 November 2025, at SPSMV. The day began with a special assembly conducted by the teachers, followed by an inspiring address by the Head of School, Capt Richa Sharma Katyal. She also felicitated the winners of the Storytelling Competition, organised by the Heritage Foundation of Art and Culture:
- Kaashvika Bisht of KG – 1st Prize
- Ashutosh Mishra of Nursery– 3rd Prize
In the Early Childhood Department, a storytelling session by grandparents emerged as the highlight of the day, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere as they shared stories filled with wisdom, humour and timeless values.
The primary wing participated in engaging activities such as a Colouring Activity on the themes ‘My Dream World’/‘I Am Special’, and an Extempore Activity where students spoke confidently on random topics. Students enjoyed a class community lunch, followed by a cleanliness drive, promoting teamwork and responsibility.
An educational video on Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was screened for the entire school, followed by a quiz that enriched students’ understanding of his life and values. The day ended on a joyful and inspiring note, leaving students with cherished memories and valuable lessons.
International Day Against Violence and Bullying
SPS MV observed the International Day Against Violence and Bullying on Thursday, 06 November 2025 through meaningful activities, for Classes III–V. Students created thoughtful posters and slogans promoting kindness and non-violence. A webinar sensitised them about bullying and its prevention. Teachers also discussed fake versus authentic news, reinforcing media literacy and digital responsibility. The observance strengthened values of empathy, respect and safety.

International Day of Tolerance
To spread the message of harmony and mutual respect, students of Class IX presented a special assembly on 19 November 2025 to observe the International Day of Tolerance. The highlight of the event was an inspiring nukkad naatak that showcased the importance of acceptance, respect, and peaceful conflict resolution. Through relatable scenes and strong performances, the play effectively conveyed the need to embrace differences.
To reach a wider audience, the street play was staged again during the lunch break, encouraging all students to reflect on tolerance as an essential skill for harmonious living.
A Symphony of Laughter: Children’s Day Festivities Unfold
Salwan Public School celebrated Children’s Day with joy and vibrant energy on 14 November 2025. The special assembly commenced with a special assembly organised by the teachers, who surprised the students with a lively medley of songs, filling the atmosphere with laughter and delight. The celebration reached a creative high with a laughter Kavi Sammelan, where teachers presented their self-composed humourous poems, leaving the students thoroughly entertained.
The assembly concluded with an inspiring message from Ms. Priyanka Barara, Principal, reminding every Salwanian to keep shining, sparkling, and believing in the magic they carry within.
Students rejoiced in their class parties, bonding over games, music, and fun moments. Class XI learners showcased their sportsmanship through engaging outdoor activities.
The day stood as a beautiful reminder of the innocence, wonder, and limitless potential that every child holds, a celebration of childhood itself.
Gurupurab Celebration: A Journey of Faith and Service
Salwan Public School, Rajendra Nagar, celebrated Gurupurab with deep devotion and enthusiasm, spreading the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji through a series of value-driven activities.
The week-long observance (29th October – 4th November) saw students from Classes VI–XI actively participating in Langar Sewa and distributing biscuit packs, symbolising the ideals of Kirat Karo, Naam Japo, and Vand Chhako.
The celebration culminated on 4th November with a soulful Prabhat Pheri by the Pre-Primary students and a vibrant assembly featuring Shabads, dance performances, and a depiction of the Panj Pyare.
The senior students conducted a special assembly that highlighted Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings through soulful hymns, insightful presentations, and reflections on the relevance of his values in today’s world. Their presentations and heartfelt messages inspired the audience to follow the path of truth, compassion, and humility.
Class 4 students, under the SEWA Club initiative, conducted a heartwarming Langar Sewa by serving their peers and staff, beautifully embodying the spirit of unity and selfless service.
The week-long celebration became a beautiful blend of devotion and learning, inspiring every Salwanian to walk the path of kindness and service. It reaffirmed the school’s commitment to nurturing compassionate individuals who carry forward Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s timeless message of peace, equality, and humanity.

Children’s Day Celebration
Children’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and warmth at Salwan Public School, Ghaziabad on 14th November 2025 honouring the joy, innocence and boundless spirit of childhood.
The celebration began with a soulful prayer, creating an atmosphere of peace and gratitude. A thoughtful message on the importance of positive thinking and values further elevated the spirit of the day. Students were also reminded about the true meaning and significance of Children’s Day and the legacy of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, whose deep affection for children earned him the name Chacha Nehru.
A joyful poem presentation added colour and charm to the programme, celebrating the beauty of childhood. Adding a delightful musical touch to the celebration, a group of teachers presented a melodious musical medley, filling the auditorium with nostalgia, rhythm, and warmth.
The highlight of the event was a vibrant circus-style storytelling performance by the children of Epratyek NGO, which brought alive the spirit of love, hope and kindness.
The programme concluded with inspiring messages from the school leadership, leaving every child motivated to dream big, stay joyful, and always remain kind.
