Positive Parenting Workshop
The online Positive Parenting workshop held on 24 January 2026 via Zoom, organized by Team SJS and facilitated by Ms. Jyoti Choudhary, School Counsellor, Salwan Public School, Gurugram. She offered parents practical insights into child development, behaviour, and communication. The session emphasized nurturing, empathetic, and structured parenting to build children’s confidence and emotional resilience. Key topics included understanding developmental milestones, redirecting children’s energy into productive activities, and using positive reinforcement over punishment. Parents learned the importance of firm boundaries, modelling positive behaviour, and effective communication strategies. The interactive workshop equipped parents with tools to foster stronger, supportive, and meaningful relationships with their children.
Time Tales 2026– Kaleidoscope - Annual Class Presentation
The students of Class 1 showcased their Annual Class Presentation, “Kaleidoscope 2026 – Time Travel from Past to Future,” which was celebrated on 31st January 2026 with great enthusiasm, colour, and creativity. The programme was organised in two batches to ensure smooth conduct and meaningful participation of all students. Both batches witnessed overwhelming participation from parents, grandparents, and guests, making the celebration truly memorable.
The event was graced by distinguished guests Sh. Vikramjeet Rooprai, an acclaimed author, heritage activist, and educator, and Ms. Amrit Nagpal, a renowned storyteller and expert in early childhood education. Their presence added immense value and inspiration to the occasion.
The celebration began on an auspicious note with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, invoking the blessings of the Almighty. This was followed by a soulful Ganesh Vandana, setting a spiritual and positive tone for the event.
The thematic presentation took the audience on a captivating journey through time—from the glorious past featuring Raja Krishnadevaraya and Tenali Rama, to the present, and further into an imaginative vision of the future. The performances beautifully blended history, creativity, values, and environmental awareness, conveying the powerful message that caring for the present is essential to securing the future.
The Chief Guests addressed the audience and applauded the confidence, expression, and originality displayed by the young performers. Sh. Vikramjeet Rooprai encouraged children to stay connected with heritage and values, while Ms. Amrit Nagpal appreciated the storytelling elements and age-appropriate learning reflected in the performances.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the management, Principal, teachers, cultural departments, support staff, parents, and students. The celebration ended on a patriotic note with the National Anthem.
The Annual Class Presentation was a grand success and truly reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing confident, creative, and responsible learners.

Alumna Interaction Session with Ms. Kreeti Mathur
The school was proud to host Ms. Kreeti Mathur, an alumna of the Batch of 2003, for an interactive session with the students of Class IX on 4th February 2026. Currently the Head – Talent Acquisition at ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd., Noida, Ms. Mathur shared valuable insights drawn from her extensive experience in the corporate sector.
The session focused on career planning, skill development, and adaptability in a dynamic professional environment. Through practical examples, Ms. Mathur guided students on making informed career choices, understanding workplace expectations, and recognising the importance of continuous learning and strong ethical values.
The interaction was engaging and motivating, encouraging students to reflect on their strengths and set realistic goals for the future. On this occasion, Ms. Mathur also expressed her gratitude to her alma mater by donating a laptop to the school, supporting its digital learning initiatives. The session was truly inspiring and enriching.
Delhi World Book Fair 2026
Salwan Public School organised an educational visit to the Delhi World Book Fair at Bharat Mandapam on 16 January 2026 for a group of twelve enthusiastic student readers, accompanied by the school librarians and Vice Principal Ms Jyotsna Grover. The fair’s theme, ‘Indian Military History: Valour and Wisdom @75,’ offered a meaningful learning experience filled with knowledge, inspiration, and joy.
Students explored various pavilions highlighting military history, international literature, authors’ corners, and digital initiatives such as Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya. The Children’s Pavilion particularly captivated them with books on courage and wisdom, along with an engaging storytelling session on heroic journeys. A wide range of books, from children’s classics and folk tales to regional literature, educational texts, and emerging works on artificial intelligence, were available.
Students also participated in a quiz on enlightenment and military milestones, and won books as prizes. They also had the opportunity to interact with renowned author Swati Munjal of the book ‘Tales of Victory over Self’, and were inspired to express themselves through creative writing. Cultural performances and traditional craftsmanship further enriched the visit, making it a memorable learning experience that strengthened students’ love for reading and appreciation of India’s heritage.
Moments to Cherish: Farewell for Class XII
The farewell party for the outgoing Class XII, Barch 2025-26, was warmly hosted by Class XI students in the school grounds. The programme began with a cordial welcome of the seniors. This was followed by the ceremonial opening and lamp lighting, symbolising hope, wisdom, and new beginnings.
The school Director, Major General Sanjeev Shukla, addressed the students, motivating them to face life with discipline, integrity, and confidence. Ms Priyanka Barara, Principal, blessed the outgoing batch and encouraged them to dream big, remain resilient and pursue excellence while upholding the school’s values.
A lively band performance and a melodious medley of songs by class Class XI students set a celebratory yet emotional tone. The highlight of the programme was a series of heartfelt speeches reminiscing school memories, friendships, and shared journeys by Head Boy Dev Sharma, Head Girl Mansi Choudhary, Saksham Bidani representing Science Stream, Dhwani Sharma from Humanities, Aarav Gupta from Commerce, and Arshleen Kaur representing the batch of 2025-26. Their words reflected gratitude, nostalgia, and hope for the future.
Speaking on behalf of the staff, Ms Manu Mehra, HOD English, expressed pride in the outgoing batch, acknowledging their growth, achievements, and contributions to school life, and wished them success, courage, and fulfilment in all future endeavours.
The programme was further enriched by mesmerising dance performances presented by the students of Class XI. Their energetic, graceful, and well-coordinated movements reflected enthusiasm, creativity, and expressive choreography, adding colour, joy, and excitement to the farewell celebration and were met with loud applause and appreciation from everyone present.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Vice Principal Ms Jyotsna Grover, acknowledging the efforts of all participants and organisers. Addressing the outgoing students, she offered valuable advice to carry the school’s ethos with pride in every walk of life that integrity, respect, and perseverance. The farewell was a memorable celebration filled with nostalgia, inspiration, and heartfelt good wishes for the Class XII batch.
Orientation Session on Delhi AI Mini Grind Program
Salwan Public School organised an orientation session on the Delhi AI Mini Grind Program, an initiative under Delhi AI Grind, India’s first city-centric AI innovation movement. It was held on 29th December 2025 for students of Classes VI to XI. Approximately 1,000 students attended the orientation, which was conducted by the Mentor Team of Delhi AI Grind – Dr. Shilpa Raghuvanshi Chauhan, Ms Yojna Bablani, Ms. Kalyanee Varhney, Ms. Bhavna Kaushik and Ms PriyankaAgarwal.
The programme is aimed at empowering school students to identify real-world civic problems of Delhi and design AI-driven solutions through structured mentorship, innovation, and hands-on problem solving. It effectively bridges classroom learning with community challenges, thereby nurturing future-ready innovators. The session highlighted the initiative as a mandatory activity and clearly explained the process of participation, expectations, and learning outcomes.
The interactive session motivated students to explore the potential of Artificial Intelligence and encouraged them to use technology creatively for meaningful societal impact.
CBSE Sensitization Program on Health Literacy
Salwan Public School organised a CBSE Sensitization Programme on Health Literacy for teachers on 31 January 2026 in the Senior Library. The session focused on mental well-being, mental toughness, digital mental health tools, emergency response, first aid, and medicine safety, aiming to strengthen emotional resilience and essential life skills.
The session was conducted by Mr. Nikhil Nathaniel, Associate Professor (Psychiatric Nursing), Noida, a certified BLS, ACLS, and First Aid instructor from the American Heart Association. The interactive session aligned with CBSE Health and Wellness guidelines and contributed towards promoting a safe, healthy, and supportive school environment.
Empowering Minds: A Collaborative Workshop on Supporting Children with ADHD
A workshop titled “Understanding and Managing ADHD – A Collaborative Approach for Parents and Educators” was organised by the Mental Health Department of Salwan Public School, Rajendra Nagar, on 12 January 2026. Teachers from primary and senior sections, along with parents, participated actively. The programme began with a welcome address by the Vice Principal and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Principal.
The session was conducted by Ms. Sudhita Kasturi, a Certified ADHD Life Coach and founder of Leverage Your ADHD. She emphasized that ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition rather than a behavioural issue and introduced the “C’s of ADHD”—Consistency, Clarity, Compassion, and Celebration—as essential principles for supporting children effectively.
Ms. Kasturi shared practical strategies for classrooms, including structured seating, minimizing distractions, clear instructions, visual aids, movement breaks, and the appropriate use of fidget tools. Parents were guided on maintaining consistent routines at home, breaking tasks into smaller steps, practising positive discipline, and focusing on children’s strengths.
Overall, the workshop was informative and enriching, strengthening collaboration between parents and educators and equipping them with practical strategies to support children with ADHD effectively.
