Salwan Public School, Trans Delhi Signature City, Ghaziabad, organised a Tree Plantation Drive under the campaign ‘एक पेड़ माँ के नाम’ on 13 July 2026, following the directions of the District Inspector of Schools, Ghaziabad. Students and teachers enthusiastically planted saplings across the campus, reinforcing their commitment to environmental conservation. Geo-tagged photographs were uploaded on the Eco Club Portal as per guidelines. The initiative inspired students to value nature and contribute towards a greener, more sustainable future.
Witnessing History in India’s Space Journey at ISRO
Eleven students and two teachers from Salwan Public School, Trans Delhi Signature City, witnessed the historic launch of Skyroot Aerospace’s Vikram-I at ISRO’s Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, on 18 July 2026. Vikram-I became the first private Indian orbital rocket to be launched from Indian soil, marking a proud milestone in India’s space journey. The thunderous lift-off inspired the students to appreciate innovation, research, perseverance and technological progress. This rare experiential learning opportunity encouraged them to dream big and explore careers in science, engineering, research and space technology. The visit reaffirmed the school’s commitment to nurturing curiosity, scientific temperament and confident future innovators.
Learning with AI: Teachers Enhance Classroom Innovation through Gemini
As part of the year-long AI Capacity Building Programme, the teachers of Salwan Public School, Trans Delhi Signature City, participated in an enriching training session on Learning Insights into Gemini, conducted by Ms Richa Hans, Teacher Trainer. The session equipped educators with practical insights into leveraging Google Gemini for lesson planning, content creation, assessment design, differentiated instruction and enhanced classroom productivity. Through engaging demonstrations, hands-on activities and collaborative discussions, teachers explored the responsible and effective integration of AI into teaching and learning practices. The workshop strengthened the educators’ digital competencies and reaffirmed the school’s commitment to fostering innovation, excellence and future-ready classrooms through the meaningful integration of Artificial Intelligence.

Vidyanjali Activity: Tie and Dye
Salwan Boys Senior Secondary School organised a Tie and Dye Activity on 10 July 2026. The activity was conducted with the support of Vidyanjali volunteer Ms Usha Mittal. More than 200 students participated in the activity.
The session introduced students to the basic techniques of tie and dye, a traditional textile art. They learnt different fabric-folding and binding methods, including spiral, stripe, and crumple patterns, using rubber bands and twine. They then applied fabric dyes to create a variety of colour combinations and patterns on white cotton fabric.
The activity helped students understand the process of dye absorption, colour application, and pattern formation. It also provided practical exposure to a traditional craft while developing observation, creativity, and fine motor skills.
At the end of the session, students unfolded their dyed fabrics and observed the patterns created through different tying techniques. The activity provided a practical learning experience and encouraged participation in art and craft-based learning.

Green Day Celebration
Salwan Montessori School, Gurugram, celebrated Green Day with great enthusiasm, inspiring young learners to embrace environmental responsibility and become mindful custodians of our planet. The event was graced by renowned environmentalist Ms Nidhi Malhotra as the Special Guest.
The celebration commenced with a vibrant special assembly, where the children captivated the audience through energetic dances, melodious songs, a thought-provoking poem, an expressive mime, and a meaningful dance drama. Each performance beautifully highlighted the importance of soil conservation, tree plantation, teamwork, sharing, and eliminating hunger, reinforcing the values embodied in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Addressing the gathering, Ms Nidhi Malhotra encouraged the young learners to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives and reminded them that even small actions can create a lasting impact on the environment. Her inspiring message motivated the children to become responsible citizens and active contributors to a greener and more sustainable future.
The celebration concluded on a hopeful note with a collective pledge to protect nature, conserve resources, and uphold the values of compassion, sustainability, and responsible living.

On the occasion of Van Mahotsav, a special assembly was organised at Salwan Montessori School, Gurugram, to remind young learners that every tree planted today is a promise of a greener tomorrow. Parent Workshop: Balancing Screen Time and Play Time at Home
An interactive online parent workshop on ‘Balancing Screen Time and Play Time at Home’, was conducted on 04 July 2026 by Ms Sona Gombar, Headmistress, and Ms Nirdeshika Jain, School Counsellor, at Salwan Montessori School, Gurugram.
The workshop aimed to create awareness about the impact of excessive screen time on children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development while emphasising the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between digital engagement and active, play-based learning.
During the session, parents were introduced to practical strategies for establishing healthy screen-time routines, encouraging meaningful play experiences, and fostering stronger family connections through mindful and consistent parenting practices. They also gained valuable insights into promoting independent play, enhancing communication, and creating enriching home environments that support holistic child development.
The workshop concluded with an engaging interactive discussion, during which parents shared their concerns, sought expert guidance, and received practical takeaways to help nurture balanced, healthy, and happy childhoods.
Kargil Vijay Diwas
Salwan Montessori School, Gurugram, observed Kargil Vijay Diwas on 24 July 2026 with immense pride and gratitude. The little Salwanians paid a heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers through a touching story presentation and inspiring patriotic dance performances, honouring the courage, valour, and sacrifices of the heroes of the Kargil War.
The programme concluded with a solemn salute to the brave hearts who laid down their lives for the nation, followed by the National Anthem, filling every heart with pride and patriotism. The celebration served as a meaningful tribute to the unwavering spirit of the soldiers and inspired the young learners to cherish the values of patriotism, courage, respect, and gratitude towards those who safeguard our nation.
