Capt. Richa Sharma Katyal (Retd)

Capt. Richa Sharma Katyal (Retd), an ex-Army officer from the Army Education Corps, was commissioned as part of the first batch of female officers in the Indian Army. She holds a Master’s Degree in Mathematics from Delhi University and an M.Ed from Osmania University thus blending academia with military service. During her tenure in the Indian Army, she managed recruitment of teaching staff and advising Formation Commanders on educational matters for Army Schools and Kendriya Vidyalayas. She conducted Promotion Examinations for troops and officers.

Currently heads Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar, Delhi. With 31 years of experience, she combines subject expertise with pedagogical finesse. Capt Katyal actively participates in workshops and seminars, demonstrating her commitment to professional growth. She exemplifies military discipline, academic excellence, and visionary leadership.
