Investiture Ceremony
Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar held its Annual Investiture Ceremony for the 2025–2026 session on 25 July 2025. Brigadier R.N. Mathur (Retd) graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting, symbolising a blessed start.
The ceremony aimed to instil leadership with integrity and vision. Capt Richa Sharma Katyal, Principal, welcomed the guests and highlighted the significance of student leadership, also sharing the school’s 5th rank in the IIRF.
A soulful choir performance and a contemporary dance on mentorship added to the cultural fervour. A TED Talk, Tech Dominators, showcased the MedChair—an innovative solution for individuals with limited mobility.
The Student Council pledged their commitment during the Oath Ceremony. In his address, the Chief Guest urged students to lead with empathy and purpose. The Head Girl and Head Boy shared their aspirations for the year. The event concluded with heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to its success.
Achievers’ Day 2025 – Celebrating Student Excellence
Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar celebrated Achievers’ Day 2025 with great pride. The ceremony, graced by Chairman Shri Bharat Salhotra as Chief Guest, honoured academic and co-scholastic excellence from Classes VI to XII.The highlight was the conferment of Salwan Education Trust (SET) Awards to board exam achievers. The Senior Wing honoured Board toppers, stream-wise achievers and others for outstanding aggregates and perfect scores. Suhaani Sharma and Tanish Gupta were felicitated for their excellence in sports, reflecting the school’s holistic ethos. Academic toppers from Classes VI to XII were also acknowledged.
Pallavi earned special acclaim for her national-level advocacy, which led to an invitation to the At Home function hosted by the President of India.
The event celebrated perseverance, dedication, and all-round achievement.

Achiever’s Day and Investiture Ceremony- Primary Wing
The Primary Wing of Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar, celebrated a dual occasion — Achievers’ Day and the Investiture Ceremony — on Friday, 11 July 2025, honouring academic excellence and student leadership.
The event began with the ceremonial lighting of diyas by Principal Capt. Richa Sharma Katyal, Director Maj Gen Ajay Khandpur, and other dignitaries, symbolising knowledge and enlightenment. In her address, Principal Ma’am emphasised perseverance, integrity, and the role of parents in guiding children towards responsible empowerment.
A melodious choir performance, ‘Dream it Possible,’and a vibrant dance on Tagore’s ‘Amra Notun Jouboneri Doot’ added cultural charm.
Students of Classes III to V were felicitated for academic excellence, with a special mention for Yuven Garg of Class IV for outstanding performance.
The ceremony then transitioned to the formal induction of the new Student Council. Council members, including the Head Boy, Head Girl, and House Captains, received badges and certificates, followed by an oath led by Principal Ma’am.
The Head Boy and Head Girl shared heartfelt messages, vowing to lead with sincerity. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Smt. Sheetal Kapoor, Headmistress, SPSMV.

Garvotsav: A Grand Celebration of Student Excellence
Salwan Public School, Gurugram celebrated Garvotsav on 08 July, 2025—a proud felicitation ceremony honouring 35 academic and sports achievers of 2024–25, along with their mentors. Principal, Smt. Rashmi Malik, welcomed Chief Guest Dr. Prasad Medury and Mr. Paramjeet Khanna with a ‘Green Accord’. The event featured lamp lighting, Saraswati Vandana, and tributes to SET leadership. Dr. Medury and Mr. Khanna inspired students to pursue STEM and moral excellence. The Chairperson and Principal emphasized integrity and gratitude. School Director Maj. Gen. Surinder Singh concluded the event with heartfelt thanks, marking Garvotsav as a shining celebration of achievement, character, and future promise.

From Classroom to Championship: Salwan Honours its Best
Salwan Public School, Rajender Nagar proudly hosted its Felicitation Ceremony on 25 July 2025 to honour the outstanding academic and sporting achievements of students for the session 2024–25. The event was graced by Shri Hem Kumar Pande, Chairman, Salwan Public School, Maj Gen Sanjeev Shukla, VSM, Director, and alumnus Mr. Kishlay Jha (AIR 44, Indian Forest Service 2024). Principal, Mrs. Priyanka Barara welcomed the guests.
Academic achievers from Classes X and XII were felicitated, including overall and stream toppers, and 18 students with 95%+ aggregate. Class X students with 90%+ and subject-wise 100s were also awarded. Sports achievers were recognised for bringing laurels to the school.
Inspiring addresses by dignitaries emphasised values like humility, persistence, and national contribution. Two achievers shared their success stories, and the ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by the Vice Principal. The event reflected the school’s commitment to excellence in academics and sports.

Chhau Dance Workshop - Celebrating Heritage
Salwan Public School, Rajender Nagar organised a dynamic two-day Chhau Dance Workshop on 18 and 19 July 2025. It was conducted by the artists of the Shri Ram Bharatiya Kala Kendra Repertory. The workshop was attended by 35 enthusiastic students and dance teachers, to engage themselves in the classical dance form from Eastern India.
The sessions introduced participants to the unique blend of expression, rhythm, and athleticism that defines Chhau. Guided by experienced artists, the students explored the rich storytelling traditions and symbolic gestures that make Chhau a vibrant representation of India’s cultural heritage.
The session led the participants into India’s artistic past, fostering respect for traditional art forms while nurturing creative expression. It was an enriching experience fostering cultural literacy and holistic learning.

The Primary Wing’s oath-taking ceremony inspired young leaders, while the Senior Wing’s symbolic flag handover and farewell speeches reflected legacy and continuity.
