Alumni Partnership Programme
As part of the Alumni Partnership Programme, Ms. Shambhavi Manna, an alumna of the 2021–2022 batch and currently pursuing a B.Des at the Footwear Design and Development Institute, Noida, was invited to conduct a session on Saturday, 05 July 2025. The focus of the session was on fashion designing and its future prospects.
Attended by students of Classes IX and XI, the session provided valuable insights into the dynamic world of design, exploring emerging trends, diverse career pathways, and the increasing influence of creativity and technology within the industry. A lively Q&A segment followed, during which students enthusiastically asked questions about educational requirements, essential skill sets, and industry expectations.

Mr. Vaibhav Puri, Alumnus, Honoured with Prestigious OBE
The school alumnus, Mr. Vaibhav Puri, of Salwan Public School, Rajender Nagar has been conferred the prestigious OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) in His Majesty The King’s Birthday Honours List.
This distinguished honour recognises Mr. Puri’s exceptional contributions and service in his field, marking a moment of great pride for the entire Salwan Public School community.
Salwan Alumni Awarded at National and Global Platforms
Mr. Aditya Mathur, an alumnus of the Salwan Public School, Rajender Nagar, secured an impressive All India Rank 328 in the Civil Services Examination. His accomplishment reflects immense perseverance, intellectual rigour, and a deep commitment to public service.
SPS RN is also proud to share the achievements of Dr. Harshita Bharti, another inspiring alumna, who has established herself as a dedicated public health professional. She holds a Master’s degree in Global Health from Trinity College Dublin and was recently awarded the prestigious Global Excellence Postgraduate Scholarship. Her contribution to global health and her academic achievements reflect her vision of creating a healthier, more equitable world.

Salwan Public School,RN takes immense pride in sharing the extraordinary achievement of Mr. Kishlay Jha, a distinguished alumnus from the Batch of 2017, who has secured an outstanding All India Rank 44 in the Indian Forest Service Examination 2024, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Plastic-Free Future
On 07 May 2025, a thought-provoking talk on ‘Plastic-Free Future’ was held for Classes VI–VIII of Salwan Public School, Rajender Nagar, featuring Mr. Prabjhot Sodhi, Senior Program Director at the Centre for Environment Education, and Mr. Hem Kumar Pande, Chairman of Salwan Public School RN and noted environmentalist. The event, attended by school leaders, began with a student-led presentation on green initiatives like Aerobins, e-waste recycling, and a Plastic-Free Drive. Mr. Sodhi discussed waste segregation, microplastics, and water conservation, sharing real-life examples and corporate collaborations. He and Mr. Pande highlighted a ₹ 180 crore crude oil-saving recycling effort. Mr. Pande urged students to embrace environmental responsibility. The session left students inspired to be proactive, eco-conscious citizens.
Teachers Share Inspiring Reads in Book Presentations Session
On Saturday, 26 July 2025, Salwan Public School, Rajender Nagar hosted a special Book Review Presentation session to promote reading and lifelong learning among teachers. The event featured collaborative presentations by various departments, offering insights from fiction and non-fiction books connected to real-life and classroom experiences.
The Montessori and Primary Wing shared reviews on How to Talk So Kids Will Listen, Atomic Habits, Finding Chika, Wonder, Why the Apple Falls, and Shiksha Kya Hai? focusing on empathy, resilience, inclusion, and curiosity.
The Senior Wing showcased The Practicing Mind, A Man Called Ove, Immortals of Meluha, The Outliers, Chanakya in Daily Life, The Hero of Tiger Hill, and Sapiens, exploring themes of discipline, leadership, bravery, and human evolution.
Principal Ms. Priyanka Barara and Vice Principal Ms. Jyotsna Grover applauded the insightful interpretations and cross-departmental collaboration. The session reinforced a shared commitment to professional growth and enriched teaching.
Workshop for Parents: Parenting with Insight
Salwan Public School, Rajender Nagar, organised a thought-provoking session titled ‘Inside Out: Mapping the Growing Child’ for the parents of Class VIII on 19 July 2025 in the Senior School Library. The session was conducted by Ms. Sanjana Purdhani, a Licensed Psychologist and Founder of Soul Savera.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome by Principal Ms. Priyanka Barara, who highlighted the need for parents to stay attuned to their children’s emotional and psychological development.
Through engaging activities, reflective videos, and open dialogue, Ms. Purdhani introduced the concept of body mapping, a powerful tool to understand how emotions manifest physically in growing children. She emphasised the importance of emotional awareness, setting boundaries, and nurturing communication within families.
The interactive Q&A session saw enthusiastic participation, with parents seeking practical insights into their parenting journey. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Vice Principal Ms. Jyotsna Grover, appreciating the speaker for her insights and parents for their involvement.
The session created a deeper understanding of the inner world of children, a step forward in parenting with empathy and insight.
