Parent Orientation Programme under MATE
A Parent Orientation Programme was organised at SPSMV, on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, for parents of Class VII students under Project MATE (Mind Activation through Education), a collaborative initiative between CBSE and AIIMS Delhi. The session, led by Dr. Nand Kumar and his team from AIIMS, aimed to educate parents on supporting their children’s emotional resilience and mental health.
The resource persons provided valuable insights and guidance on creating a supportive environment for students. Parents participated actively, asked questions and were satisfied with the responses. The session concluded with parents expressing appreciation for the Project initiative and feeling more equipped to support their children’s mental well-being.
'The Art of Songwriting’ at IGNCA
Mr. Manish Dua, Assistant Teacher (Music), along with Parnika Chandra of class XII and Aarna Mamgain of class X, of SPSMV, attended a workshop by Padma Bhushan Javed Akhtar and Mayur Puri, famous lyricist and screenwriter, on ‘The Art of Songwriting’ at Indra Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) on Monday, 10 November 2025.
Javed Akhtar emphasised the importance of a rich vocabulary in songwriting. He highlighted that education should build cultural awareness, literary grounding and broad knowledge, as imagination stems from the subconscious mind enriched through diverse learning. The workshop proved to be a rich learning experience
