
Dr. (Smt) Roopa Salwan
Dr. Roopa Salwan, an accomplished Interventional Cardiologist, graduated with an MBBS in 1986 and an MD in medicine in 1993 from Maulana Azad Medical College and LNJPN Hospital, New Delhi. Her accolades include the Gold Medal for Surgical Excellence in 1986 and the Best Resident in Clinical Specialties in 1990. She completed her DM in Cardiology from GB Pant Hospital, Delhi University in 1996. Driven by a commitment to quality, she pursued a Healthcare Management course from Harvard Business School in 2012.
Dr. Salwan has significantly contributed to the Max Heart and Vascular Institute since its establishment in 2004, focusing on patient-centric care and innovative treatment approaches for Acute MI. Her interests include Acute MI Interventions, Cardiovascular disease in women, and Complex Coronary Interventions. Recognized as an exceptional Indian woman, she was honoured with the prestigious “DEVI” title by the Sunday Standard for her dynamism and innovation.
