Legal Literacy Club Awareness Session

The Legal Literacy Club of Salwan Boys Sr. Sec. School organized an awareness session on The Indian Constitution: The Supreme Law of the Land on 27.02.25 to mark Republic Day. The session began with the recitation of the Preamble, followed by Shri Tejasvi Goel from Tis Hazari Court explaining the Constitution’s framing. He highlighted that it was drafted between 1946-1949, chaired by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Students sang Vande Mataram and actively participated in an interactive session on the Constitution, Fundamental Rights, and Duties. The event successfully deepened students’ understanding of India’s guiding legal principles.

Republic Day Celebrations - 2025

On January 25, 2025, Salwan Boys School celebrated the 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism. The event commenced with the unfurling of Tricolour flag, conducted by the Offg Principal, Sh. Naresh Kumar,  followed by the national anthem, which filled the air with a sense of pride and unity.

Students from classes VI, VII and VIII showcased their talents through patriotic speeches, poems and melodious group song highlighting India’s rich cultural heritage.

For the first time, drone photography was employed by ATL of the school to capture the event from different angles. The aerial shots provided a beautiful view of the celebrations, including flag unfurling ceremony, with the tricolour fluttering majestically against the backdrop of the clear sky. Videos of various performances were well shot by the drone.

In view of the upcoming Delhi State Assembly elections, the Election Commission of India had directed all the schools to celebrate the National Voters’ Day. This day is celebrated annually on January 25 every year to mark the foundation day of Election Commission of India. The importance of every citizen’s vote and their duty to participate in the election process was highlighted to the students during the Republic Day celebrations. They were asked to carry this important message to their homes and neighbourhoods, and request their families to cast their vote on February 05, 2025.

The event also recognized academic excellence, with a prize distribution ceremony honouring Vedant and Sidhant of Class VII for their outstanding achievements in the Mental Maths competition at the Regional level.

At the end, Sh. Naresh Kumar, inspired the students in his closing address emphasizing upon them to respect the Motherland and her people, exhibit a sense of responsibility and bring glory through their actions.
