3D Planetarium Show
Salwan Public School, Ghaziabad, organized an enthralling 3D Planetarium Show on Monday 2nd December 2024 to nurture students’ interest in astronomy and inspire curiosity about the universe. Conducted within a specialized projection dome, the show offered a virtual journey through the cosmos—exploring celestial phenomena, planetary systems, and distant galaxies. With vivid 3D visuals and engaging commentary, students were transported into the depths of space, gaining a deeper understanding of astronomical concepts. A Q&A session followed, allowing students to clarify their doubts and discuss intriguing topics like black holes, constellations, and space exploration. This unique initiative combined education and entertainment, stimulating young minds to explore careers in astronomy and astrophysics while fostering a lifelong love for science
In our school, an innovative and exciting event was organized to ignite the curiosity of young minds about the universe and space. The Nehru Planetarium brought its mobile Kids Dome Planetarium to the campus, transforming the day into a celestial adventure for students.
The event provided an immersive and interactive experience as students stepped into the dome to explore the wonders of the cosmos. The portable planetarium offered 360-degree projections, simulating a night sky filled with stars, planets, and galaxies. The presentation was tailored to suit the understanding and interests of young learners, making complex astronomical concepts engaging and fun.
The children learned about:

Constellations and their stories.
The importance of space exploration.
The program was followed by a Q&A session where students eagerly asked questions about space travel and life on other planets. The facilitators from Nehru Planetarium patiently answered their queries, fostering a sense of wonder and a desire to learn more. Teachers and parents appreciated the initiative, noting that such experiences bring classroom lessons to life and encourage scientific thinking. Empowering the Future: A Career Guidance Workshop
A Career Guidance Workshop was conducted on December 26, 2024, at Salwan Public School Ghaziabad, empowering Grades IX and X students with essential tools for informed career decisions. The workshop, facilitated by Ms. Gunjan Mantri and Ms. Bhavya Jain (School Counselors), blended self-assessment, exploration, and actionable planning.
The Principal emphasized self-assessment as the cornerstone of career planning, encouraging students to align their interests, skills, and aspirations with their goals.
Ms. Gunjan guided students through the significance and components of self-assessment. She introduced the Emango Psychometric Portal, demonstrating its features and guiding students through its use. Ms. Mantri also highlighted emerging career opportunities in diverse fields, encouraging students to explore beyond conventional paths.
Building upon this foundation, Ms. Bhavya focused on practical career planning strategies. She emphasized actionable plans, time management, and continuous self-improvement. She also advised students on building a comprehensive career profile through internships, volunteering, and skill development workshops, sharing real-life examples of successful career paths.
The workshop provided valuable insights and equipped students with the knowledge and motivation to make informed decisions about their future.

On 21st December 2024, the students of Class 4 and 5 presented “Gita Saar” in the school auditorium, portraying the timeless wisdom imparted by Shri Krishna to Arjun and emphasizing its modern relevance through powerful dialogues, emotive acts, and stirring music. The same day, the Class 1 and 2 students captivated the audience with “Wanderlust: A Journey Through Breathtaking Destinations,” an enchanting exploration of global cultures and landscapes showcased through vibrant costumes and spirited performances. Parents responded with resounding applause, praising the young participants’ creativity and enthusiasm. The combined efforts of both age groups highlighted the school’s commitment to nurturing not only the intellect but also the cultural sensitivity of its learners.

From 18th to 23rd December 2024, Salwan Public School, Ghaziabad, successfully conducted a comprehensive student health checkup under the 360° Health Program by HealthSetGo Education, India’s largest health organization for schools. The initiative aimed to instill healthy habits from an early age, featuring thorough medical assessments covering growth, dental, vision, and physical fitness. Through a dedicated dashboard, parents and educators received detailed reports to address issues proactively. HealthSetGo’s Changemakers Club also launched during the week, fostering student leadership in promoting well-being. Grades 6 to 12 were encouraged to host health events on nutrition, mental health, and community engagement. Virtual workshops, including Q&A sessions with pediatric experts, empowered families to make informed choices. Additionally, parents received insights into new insurance benefits covering accidental costs and ambulance services. This holistic approach highlighted collective responsibility in nurturing healthier, happier children.

The school counselor Ms. Bhavya Jain got an opportunity to attend the CBSE National Adolescent Summit 2024, held on December 20–21 at the National Bal Bhawan, New Delhi, focusing on life skills, mental health, safety, and overall well-being. On Day 1, the educators explored the National Health and Wellness Exhibition, featuring creative student projects, mental health awareness stalls, and technology-driven solutions for stress management. Competitions highlighted creativity, cultural expression, and social consciousness. Day 2 showcased the inclusive SAMVEDNA workshop, emphasizing social identities and empathy in classrooms. Engaging panel discussions tackled emotional resilience, academic pressure, and adolescents’ mental health. The summit culminated in a Valedictory Ceremony, inspiring attendees to champion holistic development and collaboration in schools.

On 19 December 2024, the BIS Club of Salwan Public School, Ghaziabad, organized a Poster Making Competition in the Physics Lab, highlighting critical global challenges through themes such as “Grow Affordable and Clean Energy,” “Increase Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure,” and “Enforce Gender Equality.” All club members participated, filling the lab with vibrant ideas and thought-provoking designs. After careful evaluation, three winners emerged: Jigyasa Rawat of XII A won first prize, Archita of XI A came second, and Anjali of XII A secured third place. The Principal, Ms. Sunita Madan, applauded their commitment to social issues and personally awarded them cash prizes in recognition of their creativity and ingenuity. The event served as a powerful reminder of the role young minds play in driving sustainable and equitable change.
