Shri G S Randhawa’s journey is a testament of excellence and dedication across diverse fields. Transitioning from being an officer at Bank of Baroda to a distinguished career in the Indian Revenue Service (IRS), he served in key roles across major cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Chennai, and Bengaluru. His tenure culminated as Chief Commissioner, Ludhiana, where he retired in 2013, leaving behind a legacy of exceptional service. Throughout his career, Shri Randhawa demonstrated unwavering integrity and professionalism, earning recognition for his outstanding performance.
Notably, he excelled in conducting searches, surveys, and deciding appeals, garnering the highest monetary awards multiple times. His commitment extended to resolving grievances as the Income Tax Ombudsman for Madhya Pradesh and the North-West Region, Chandigarh. In honor of his late mother, Smt. Surrinder G. Randhawa, former Vice Principal of Salwan Girls Senior Secondary School, the Salwan Education Trust instituted an award in her memory in 2019. This award is given every year to recognize outstanding Post Graduate Teachers in Salwan Schools. It underscores Shri Randhawa’s enduring legacy and his family’s dedication to education and invaluable contributions to the school community.
