Shri Harpal Singh

With over 40 years of diverse corporate experience, Shri Harpal Singh has transitioned significantly into the not-for-profit sector in the past decade. He holds senior board positions in both national and international organizations, focusing on social causes such as disadvantaged children, public health, the girl child, and the environment. Beginning his career in the Tata Administrative Service, he has held senior roles in prominent groups including Tata, Birla, and Mahindra. Formerly Chairman and MD of Fortis Healthcare Limited,  SRL Diagnostics Ltd., and Non-Executive Chairman of Ranbaxy, he currently serves as Director of Impact Projects Private Ltd. His extensive involvement in school education spans over 30 years, including board positions in esteemed institutions like include Scindia Schools, Salwan Schools, Doon Schools etc.

An alumnus of The Doon School and St. Stephens College, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and pursued further studies in Public Affairs from California State University, Hayward, USA. Through his NGO, the Nanhi Chhaan Foundation, he remains dedicated to promoting initiatives for the girl child, environmental conservation, and inter-faith harmony.
