Adventure Camp: Learning beyond the Classroom
Salwan Public School, Gurugram, organised a day Camp for the students of grades 3- 5 on 10th February,2026, at Rockport Adventure Camp nestled in the foothills of the Aravalli Range, where students were welcomed into the pristine nature and invigorating fresh air. Divided class-wise and guided by trained instructors, they began an exciting experiential learning journey.
Guided by the belief, “Learning by doing is the best way of understanding,” the visit aimed to help students develop confidence, teamwork, and resilience through real-life outdoor experiences.
The camp offered students thrilling activities like tractor rides, rappelling, rock climbing, ziplining, rope-net crossings, and obstacle courses, fostering confidence, teamwork, courage, and learning beyond books.
Playtopia 2026 – A Symphony of Little Steps, Giant Dreams
The sprawling grounds of Salwan Public School, Gurugram came alive on February 22, 2026, as the school hosted its much-awaited Junior Athletics Meet – Playtopia 2026 for students from Montessori to Grade II. The day was a vibrant celebration of movement, confidence, and joyful participation, where every smile shone as brightly as a medal.
The event featured an exciting lineup of races—Bunny Hop, Sack Race, Swiss Ball Race, Ice Cream Cone Race, Pack Your Bag, and Hula Hoop—each blending fun, coordination, and healthy competition. Adding to the energy were the enthusiastic Wake Up and Wiggle Drill and the synchronised Clap Drill, reflecting team spirit and unity. A dynamic Taekwondo presentation stood out as a highlight, showcasing focus, balance, and determination.

Disconnect to Connect: A Celebration of Little Hearts
Salwan Junior School celebrated its Kindergarten Annual Day on 28 February 2026 with great joy and enthusiasm. The event showcased the confidence, creativity, and talent of the young Salwanians. The theme, “DTOC – Disconnect to Connect,” conveyed the importance of balancing technology with meaningful human relationships.
The programme began with a warm welcome by the emcee, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting. The opening dance, “Namoh Namah,” created a serene and spiritual atmosphere for the celebration. The school was honoured to have Mr. Gaurav Manaktala, an esteemed alumnus of the school and currently Strategy Lead – MD & CEO Office at Hero FinCorp, as the Chief Guest. Deeply connected with theatre and the performing arts, he has also worked in the film Major, which is available on Netflix. Director Colonel Sameer Saluja, RWA members Mrs. Manju and Mr. Mansukhani also graced the occasion.
The Annual Report of the school was presented by the Head Girl, Sristee Chadha, and Vice Head Girl, Shatakshi Vishal, who shared the achievements, milestones, and vibrant activities of the school throughout the year.
The melodious Kindergarten Choir performance filled the auditorium with positivity. The central skit, “Disconnect to Connect,” creatively depicted how excessive screen time affects family bonds. Through engaging characters and a touching poem, students delivered a meaningful message about valuing real-life connections.
The celebration also included vibrant dance performances and an energetic aerobics display. The choir and dance presentations beautifully reinforced the theme by highlighting the importance of human connection in today’s digital age. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, leaving everyone inspired by the importance of connecting heart to heart.

Green Day Celebration 4.0: Nurturing Nature, Protecting Life on Land
The school celebrated Green Day Celebration 4.0 on Saturday, 7th February 2026, with a strong focus on the Sustainable Development Goal – Life on Land, aligning its theme with the vision of the United Nations to protect and preserve the natural environment. The programme emphasized the importance of conserving animals, trees, and natural resources, while nurturing a sense of environmental responsibility among students.
The celebration featured a range of meaningful student performances that beautifully conveyed the message of harmony with nature. Children presented a vibrant dance performance highlighting the need to save animals and trees, creatively expressing the idea of peaceful coexistence with the natural world. This was followed by a powerful mime act on water conservation, sensitively portraying the consequences of water wastage and reinforcing the urgent need to save this precious resource. Teachers and students together recited the school anthem, “धरती को स्वर्ग बनाना है…”, strengthening the collective resolve towards environmental protection. Adding further depth to the programme, teachers presented a nukkad natak titled “धरती माँ की पुकार”, delivering a strong and impactful message on saving trees and protecting life on land.
The event was further enriched by the presence of the special guest, Ms. Ambika Shukla, an animal activist, who shared valuable insights on caring for animals with empathy and kindness. Her interaction helped students understand the emotions and needs of animals and inspired compassion towards all living beings.
The celebration concluded with an inspiring address by our Headmistress, Smt. Sona Gombar, who encouraged everyone to adopt sustainable practices and reaffirmed the role each individual plays in preserving the environment.

The Art Mela – Prakriti Palette: held on 11th February 2026, was a vibrant and joyous celebration, brimming with colours, rhythms, and boundless imagination. Embodying the spirit of BeyondBooks, the event gave voice and choice to students, teachers, parents, and grandparents, who participated enthusiastically to showcase their artistic talents through beautiful paintings and drawings.
The mela created a lively and inspiring space where creativity knew no limits and learning extended far beyond textbooks.
