Annual Sports Meet

“Sprint, Shine, Soar 2025: A day of passion, performance, and pride!”


Salwan Montessori School celebrated its Annual Sports Day, ‘Sprint, Shine, Soar’, with great zeal on Sunday, 9th March 2025, at Salwan Public School, Sector-15. The event commenced with a vibrant March Past, torch lighting, and an oath ceremony, setting a spirited tone for the day.

A captivating Yoga performance followed by the powerful Shiv Tandav set a peaceful yet energizing atmosphere. This was succeeded by lively drills based on the five elements—Panchbhut, symbolizing balance and harmony.

Grade 1 students impressed the audience with an energetic Taekwondo display, showcasing discipline and agility. Exciting races such as the sack race and frog hop brought laughter and joy to the field. Adding to the festivity, parents enthusiastically joined an impromptu Zumba session, making it a truly inclusive celebration.

The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony, recognizing young achievers and celebrating participation. The day wrapped up on a high note—full of excitement, unity, and cherished memories.

Dental Workshop

“Bright Smiles, Healthy Habits – A Tooth-Friendly Day at Salwan!”

 

As part of our Health Week celebrations, Salwan Montessori School organized an engaging Dental Workshop on 9th April 2024, led by renowned dentists Dr. Heena Munshi and Dr. Sanjay Yadav. The session was both fun and educational, aimed at teaching children the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene. The dentists captivated the students with a lively puppet show, a colorful PPT presentation, and an interactive question-answer round, making the learning experience both entertaining and informative. Children were excited to learn about proper brushing techniques, the importance of eating healthy foods for strong teeth, and the significance of regular dental checkups.

The workshop encouraged students to develop healthy dental habits from an early age. Dr. Munshi and Dr. Yadav also emphasized the importance of avoiding certain foods that can harm teeth, empowering children to take responsibility for their oral health. The session left the students with bright smiles and newfound knowledge, making it a truly memorable and tooth-friendly day.

New Session 2025-26

“Every child’s first step into school is a giant leap into a world of discovery.”

 

The new session of 2025–26 commenced with a mix of emotions. Our teachers were energized and enthusiastic, eagerly waiting to welcome the new entrants with open arms and bright smiles. Meanwhile, our little ones stepped into school for the very first time, their faces reflecting a blend of curiosity and nervousness.

However, their hesitation soon faded as they entered the beautifully decorated school, designed to make them feel safe and joyful. It was heartwarming to see these young learners take their first steps towards knowledge and growth, filling the school with their innocence, joy, and warmth.

The day was packed with fun-filled activities thoughtfully planned by the teachers—play sessions, engaging games, rhymes, and dancing to cheerful tunes. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and excitement, making it a memorable start to the academic journey.

To mark this special beginning, the teachers warmly welcomed the children and presented them with thoughtful welcome takeaways, adding a personal touch to their first day at school.

World Art Day

Salwan Montessori School celebrated World Art Day on Tuesday, 15th April 2025, with great enthusiasm and creativity. The young artists had the opportunity to explore their imagination through vibrant activities, using a variety of mediums such as crayons, paints, and paper. The children were introduced to the beauty of freehand drawing and the rich tradition of Indian folk art, including Warli painting, bringing cultural heritage to life with their tiny hands. It was a delightful experience that not only encouraged self-expression but also fostered an appreciation for culture, while sparking the joy of creating something truly beautiful.

World Earth Day: Nurturing a Greener Future Together

“The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.”

 

Salwan Montessori School celebrated Earth Day with great enthusiasm to raise awareness about conserving our planet and to honor our benevolent Mother Earth. The celebration began with a special assembly, where the young Salwanians presented energetic dance performances and powerful slogans, spreading the message of “Save Environment, Save Earth.” Their performances emphasized simple, yet impactful actions like reducing plastic use, reusing materials, and recycling waste.

The entire school community—Headmistress, teachers, parents, grandparents, students, and support staff—came together for the ‘Go-Green Initiative’, participating in a tree-planting drive. Teachers narrated a meaningful story, helping the children understand the importance of protecting Earth in a fun and engaging way. The day concluded with the young learners taking a pledge to contribute to saving Mother Earth through small, doable actions. It served as a beautiful reminder of the importance of environmental education and our shared responsibility to nurture and protect the planet.

World Health Day

“Health is the foundation of happiness, peace, and progress. On World Health Day, let’s commit to building a healthier world—one mindful choice at a time.”

An engaging and informative assembly was conducted to mark World Health Day on 7th April 2025, emphasizing the importance of adopting healthy habits for overall well-being. The assembly began with a vibrant presentation on key aspects of health, including balanced nutrition, regular exercise, hygiene, and mental wellness. Students added a creative spark with an energetic dance performance that encouraged movement and fun, promoting the idea that staying fit can be both joyful and rewarding. A captivating narration of the story of Lord Hanuman highlighted his strength, discipline, and courage—qualities that inspired students to cultivate both physical and mental resilience in their own lives.

The celebration extended throughout the week as the school observed Health Week with great enthusiasm. Students participated in a range of interactive and reflective activities focused on nutrition, self-care, emotional well-being, and mindfulness. The week was thoughtfully designed to blend learning with enjoyment through storytelling, hands-on sessions, and wellness practices. A heartfelt highlight was the Health Pledge taken by both teachers and parents, reaffirming their commitment to support children in making healthy lifestyle choices and setting positive examples for lifelong wellness.

World Heritage Day

‘India has a history of rich culture and heritage. And this heritage resides in the heart and soul of its people’.

Salwan Montessori School celebrated World Heritage Day on 18th April to raise awareness among our young Salwanians about the rich culture and heritage of India. Each class adopted a different state of India, showcasing its unique culture, language, and food. The children were taken on a virtual tour of iconic monuments across the country, allowing them to explore India’s diverse heritage. A special assembly was organized where students came dressed in colorful costumes representing their adopted state, participated in traditional dances, and relished delicious food items during a Food Fiesta, immersing themselves in the culinary delights of their states.

The celebration continued throughout the week, as the young Salwanians solemnly pledged to preserve and protect India’s cultural heritage. Through this event, the students not only learned about the historical significance of various states but also embraced the responsibility of preserving our cultural legacy. The theme for the day, “Our Heritage is Our Identity! Let’s Preserve It,” echoed throughout the celebration, inspiring students to value and protect the heritage that defines our nation.

"Life Skills : The Power of a Simple Greeting"

For the month of April, the life skill theme at school focused on the importance of Greeting. Children were taught how a simple greeting can bring joy to others and create a positive environment. The session emphasized the value of being polite, respectful, and kind while saying hello. Children were introduced to different ways of greeting people around the world, learning how to say “hello” in various languages like Namaste, Hola, Bonjour, Konnichiwa, and more. A heartwarming story was narrated to illustrate how greeting someone warmly can brighten their day and build connections. To reinforce the learning, an interactive activity was conducted where children practiced greeting each other using different languages and expressions. The session helped children understand the power of a small gesture and encouraged them to incorporate it into their daily lives.

Sustainable Development Goals

Earth Day Celebration Week at Salwan Montessori School – Learning to Care for Our Planet

As part of Earth Day Celebration Week, the students of Salwan Montessori School took part in fun and meaningful activities that helped them learn about taking care of the Earth and staying healthy. These activities were based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 13: Climate Action and SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.

The day started with a peaceful nature walk, where children enjoyed the beauty of trees, flowers, and birds. This helped them feel more connected to nature and understand why we must protect it.

To save electricity, students took part in a special activity where they turned off lights and used natural sunlight instead. They learned how small actions like this can help save energy and protect our planet.

The children also did mindful meditation and light exercises outdoors. This made them feel calm, happy, and healthy. They played movement games and enjoyed being active in the fresh air, which showed them how fun and important it is to stay fit and enjoy nature.

One of the most exciting parts of the day was a session called “Say No to Plastic Bottles.” In this session, children learned how plastic bottles and lunchboxes harm the Earth and living things. They listened to a story about a plastic bottle’s journey from being used to becoming pollution, watched a video about how plastic hurts animals, and saw real examples from

Through these simple but powerful activities, students learned how to live in a way that is good for both the Earth and their health. Salwan Montessori School is proud to help children become caring, responsible, and environmentally friendly citizens of the future.

Graduation Day

“Every child is a different kind of flower, and all together, they make this world a beautiful garden.”

Salwan Montessori School, Gurugram, celebrated a heartwarming Graduation Day to mark the transition of Grade 1 students as they prepared to step into Grade 2. The event was filled with joy, pride, and nostalgia, as the young graduates confidently shared their cherished memories of their early school years.

Adding vibrant energy to the occasion, Mont-3 children performed lively dance routines that lit up the stage and drew enthusiastic applause. A touching journey video, capturing special moments from the past year, brought both smiles and tears to all present—parents, teachers, and students alike.

Each child was honoured with a personalized title and certificate, making them feel recognized, confident, and truly celebrated. The event concluded on an emotional yet uplifting note, leaving behind a trail of warm memories and hopeful hearts.
