Aaghaz-E-Inquilab: Dastan-E-Dilli: An Insightful Session by Ms. Lehar Zaidi

The Humanities Department of Salwan Public School, Tronica City, hosted an insightful session titled “Aaghaz-E-Inquilab: Dastan-E-Dilli” led by heritage expert Ms. Leher Zaidi. The session focused on the 1857 Revolt, India’s First War of Independence. Ms. Zaidi began by sharing fascinating anecdotes from Mughal India, including the Kohinoor diamond’s connection to Delhi’s fate. She highlighted key figures like Mangal Pandey and Bakht Khan and their vision for a constitutional monarchy. Through a visual presentation of historical sites such as the Red Fort and Kashmiri Gate, Ms. Zaidi illustrated the strategic significance of Delhi during the rebellion, emphasizing the challenges faced by British forces. 

Blessings & Positivity for Board Aspirants

On Monday, 10th February 2025, Salwan Public School, Ghaziabad, organized a heartfelt Good Luck Ceremony, blending tradition with encouragement for board aspirants. A sacred havan was performed, invoking divine blessings and fostering an atmosphere of positivity and determination. As a token of good fortune, students received pens, symbolizing confidence and success in their academic journey. With prayers, support, and their admit cards in hand, they stepped forward toward their exams. 

Basant Panchmi Celebration

Basant Panchami, the festival that marks the onset of spring, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Salwan Public School, Ghaziabad, on Wednesday, 5th February 2025. Dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, who symbolizes wisdom, knowledge, and prosperity, the entire school was adorned in vibrant yellow hues, with students and teachers dressing in bright yellow attire to embrace the spirit of the festival. The day commenced with a soulful Saraswati Vandana, invoking the blessings of the Goddess of wisdom and learning. Students gained insight into the significance of Basant Panchami and its cultural importance across India. The event was a resounding success, leaving everyone enriched with joy and festive spirit. 

Visit of PM Shree School to Salwan Public School Ghaziabad

On 13th February 2025, 50 students along with 10 teachers from PM Shree School, Meerpur, visited Salwan Public School, Ghaziabad, fostering educational collaboration between government and private institutions. During the comprehensive campus tour, the visitors explored various state-of-the-art facilities that define modern education at Salwan Public School. They were particularly impressed by the school’s expansive playground, which provides students with ample space for sports and outdoor activities. The well-equipped science laboratories, cutting-edge language lab, and magnificent auditorium drew special attention from the visiting faculty and students. This visit served as a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and strengthened the bonds between the two educational institutions, promoting mutual learning and growth. 

Dance of Silence Program

The “Dance of Silence – Dastaan-e-Kathak” program, held on 4th February 2025 (Tuesday) at Travancore Palace, Mandi House, New Delhi, was attended by the Music and Dance Department. This event aimed to explore the expressive potential of movement and stillness in dance, with a focus on the concept of silence as both a medium and a message. It was a carefully curated event where new young artists performed various dance pieces without verbal narration, using only their movements along with music to communicate. The performances ranged from contemporary dance forms to traditional styles, all embodying themes such as solitude, introspection, and connection with one’s inner self. Every performance highlighted the versatility of dance as a universal language that transcends verbal communication. 

British Council Visit

The School Education Conference, organized by the British Council, Delhi, on 4th February 2025, was attended by Ms. Monica Antal, English Faculty. It aimed to transform India’s education system by promoting multilingual pedagogy in alignment with NEP 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE). This initiative emphasizes inclusive, competency-based education, leveraging linguistic diversity to improve learning outcomes and social cohesion. The inaugural session featured key addresses by Alison Barrett MBE (Country Director, British Council India) and Sh. Sanjay Kumar (Secretary, Department of Education and Literacy), who highlighted the importance of multilingual pedagogy for modern education. The conference included various sessions, such as panel discussions on innovative pedagogy, teacher preparedness for multilingual classrooms, and lessons from multilingual learners. It focused on leadership, innovative language teaching practices, and inclusion in the classroom. The event also addressed challenges in multilingual assessments, advocating for inclusive tools.
