An Enriching Session on Sustainable Farming
True to its mission of creating environmentally responsible learners, Salwan Public School, Ghaziabad, hosted an insightful and inspiring session on sustainable agriculture with Dr. Murtaza, Principal Scientist, ICAR-IARI, Pusa, New Delhi.
The visit commenced with a tour of the school’s flourishing kitchen garden, where Dr. Murtaza acknowledged the students’ commitment to hands-on ecological learning. He introduced students to pioneering techniques such as hydroponics, plug tray nursery raising, and rainwater harvesting integration, all aimed at addressing real-world agricultural challenges.
Through a blend of demonstration, discussion, and real-life applications, students explored how modern agriculture can meet future needs without compromising the environment. The session provided practical insights that empowered learners to move beyond textbooks and emerge as future- ready changemakers.
This initiative aligned seamlessly with the school’s core vision: to cultivate scientific temper, environmental stewardship, and responsible innovation. With new knowledge and inspiration, students walked away with more than information—they carried a deepened sense of purpose to build a greener, more self-reliant future.
