Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar

CBSE Cluster Shooting Championship – 2025

Anvi Singh of class VII and Pratik Rajendra Shaw of class X represented Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar, at the CBSE Cluster Shooting Championship held on 20 July 2025 at VSPK International School, Delhi. Both students showcased commendable skill and focus, securing bronze medals in the girls’ and boys’ categories respectively.

Silver Medal in the 3rd Delhi State JU- JITSU Championship

Abdullah Numair Ahmed of class XII won the silver medal in the 3rd Delhi State Ju- Jitsu Championship which was held on 27 July 2025. He also qualified for the National championship.

Steam Innovation League – Three Teams Qualify For National Finals

Four teams from Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar participated in the STEAM Innovation League (SIL) organised by STEMROBO Technologies in September 2024. Out of 3,000+ teams across India, only 331 made it to the National Round.

Team 1 – The Thunder of Azkaban: Krishnansh Sharma and Dhairya Gupta developed a Mars Rover prototype.

Team 2 – Tabi Boys: Arnav Jain built a pH-sensing toy for chemistry learning.

Team 3 – Tech Dominators: Aahan Mohapatra and Korounganba Ayekpan created the MedChair for elderly care.

These projects reflect both technical brilliance and social sensitivity. As the teams prepare for the national round, their achievements continue to inspire a culture of innovation within the school community.

Zeneith Model United Nations Conference

Four students from classes VIII to XII of Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar represented the school at the Zeneith Model United Nations (MUN) conference, held at Happy Model School, Janakpuri, Delhi on 12 July -13 July 2025.
The conference provided a valuable platform for students to engage in meaningful dialogue on pressing political and global issues. Through thoughtful debate, research, and collaboration, participants gained a deeper understanding of international affairs and diplomacy.
Anika Khosla of class XI was awarded the Best Journalist trophy, while Syed Hussain of class XII received a Special Mention in the UNGA committee. In recognition of the delegation’s overall performance and conduct, the SPS MV received the Best School Delegation trophy.

Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar Shines in IIRF National Rankings

Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar, stands tall among the top ten schools in India as per the IIRF rankings 2025. Known for its holistic and value-based education, the school nurtures academic excellence, innovation, and character-building in a dynamic learning environment.

Zonal Table Tennis Championship

Ahlcon International School, Mayur Vihar hosted the Junior Boys Zonal Table Tennis Championship on 28–29 July 2025 (Individual Event).
Total 8 teams participated in the championship. The SPS MV team displayed commendable skill and teamwork:
• Defeated Ryan International School, Mayur Vihar in the first round
• Defeated East Point School, Rohini in the semi-final.
• Competed fiercely in the final, but was defeated by ASN Sr. Secondary School
Team secured the Second Position in Junior Boys Zonal Table Tennis Championship.

Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-I)

A group of 32 NCC cadets from Class IX of Salwan Boys Senior Secondary School participated in the 10-day Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-I), held at Delhi Parade Ground from 06 to 15 May 2025. The camp, organised under the supervision of 2 Delhi Battalion NCC, saw the participation of over 600 cadets from various Delhi schools.
Led by Chief Officer Mr. Ghanshyam Gupta, the cadets underwent intensive training designed to promote discipline, leadership, and physical fitness. The daily schedule included drill practice, weapon training, obstacle courses, map reading, and sessions on leadership and national integration.
Cadets actively participated in sports activities such as volleyball and drills. A group of 18 students represented the school in cultural events, presenting a captivating Yoga Display that won 1st position, adding glory to the school.
A major highlight of the camp was the firing practice with .22 bore rifles at a distance of 50 meters, which provided cadets with valuable exposure to shooting techniques and discipline.
All cadets demonstrated excellent conduct and commitment, earning participation certificates during the closing ceremony. The camp proved to be a memorable and enriching experience, instilling in students a strong sense of patriotism and civic responsibility.

Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-II)

The NCC unit of Salwan Boys Senior Secondary School participated in the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-II) held from 15–24 June 2025 at Cariappa Parade Ground, Delhi Cantt, under the aegis of 2 Delhi Battalion NCC. A contingent of 16 cadets, led by Chief Officer Ghanshyam Gupta, represented the school with zeal.
The 10-day camp focused on discipline, leadership, physical endurance, and teamwork, featuring daily drills, physical training, and sessions on map reading, disaster management, and national integration. Motivational talks by Armed Forces officers and civil dignitaries inspired cadets towards self-discipline, patriotism, and defence careers. Cultural events brought energy to the camp, with cadets showcasing patriotic performances. Cadet Anmol Kashyap won gold in the Junior Division Firing Competition, and the team secured 3rd place in the Drill Square Test.
As part of outreach, cadets engaged in cleanliness drives, awareness rallies, and tree plantation, promoting civic and environmental responsibility.
The camp was a transformative experience, instilling resilience, leadership, and national pride.

Zonal Cultural Activities Competition - 2025–26

Mayank Das of Class X, Salwan Boys Sr. Sec. School, showcased his talent in the Poster and Slogan Writing Competition on the theme ‘Shauryavaan Bharat’ under Zonal Cultural Activities 2025–26. He secured 3rd position at the Zonal Level, 4th at the District Level, and qualified for the Final Round held at Chhatrasal Stadium, competing among 240 students from across Delhi. The top 50 finalists were to be selected as special guests for the Independence Day Celebration. Reaching the finals of this prestigious event is a proud achievement, highlighting Mayank’s creativity, commitment, and patriotic spirit.

District Level Poster and Slogan Competition

The Ministry of Defence, Government of India, had organised a poster and painting competition on the theme ‘शौर्यवान भारत’ as part of the Independence Day Ceremony 2025.
Ipsa Santra, a student of Salwan Girls Sr. Sec. School, participated in the competition at the Zonal Level, where she secured First Position. She then competed at the District Level Poster and Slogan Competition and secured the Third Position.
In recognition of her talent and creativity, Ipsa has been selected among 240 students from across all districts of the country and has been invited as a Special Guest for the Independence Day Celebration at the Red Fort on 15 August 2025.

Salwan Students Shine at Delhi Olympics State Games 2025 – Jeet Kune Do

Students from Salwan Junior School participated in the prestigious Delhi Olympics State Games 2025 in the sport of Jeet Kune Do, held on 21 May 2025 at Holy World School, near Arjun Park, New Delhi.
In the 42–45 kg weight category, Neil Gupta of Class V-B showcased exceptional talent and fighting spirit, winning the 2nd Position and making us all proud. In the 34–37 kg weight category, Aarav Johar also represented the school with great enthusiasm and gave a commendable performance. Both students were applauded for their outstanding efforts.

Design Disha: An Event by UID Gurugram

Twenty-eight enthusiastic students from Salwan Public School, Gurugram, took part in Design Disha, an engaging event hosted by UID Institute, Gurugram. The day featured insightful sessions on design thinking and creative careers, along with exciting competitions like Resin Art, the Marshmallow Challenge, Emoji design, Flip book creation, and an Art exhibition.

Our talented students brought laurels to the school by securing top honours in four categories: Best Entry in the Art Exhibition (Lino-cut Print) and Best Team Entries in Emoji Design, Resin Art, and Flip Book. The event was a vibrant celebration of creativity, innovation, and artistic expression.

Confluence 2025: A Celebration of Art and Heritage

DAV Kailash Hills recently hosted Confluence 2025, an inter-school competition, that brought together talented students from across Delhi-NCR to celebrate creativity and cultural heritage. The event featured a variety of categories, with the Canvas Painting competition particularly standing out.

Focused on the theme of Pattachitra Art, the competition showcased vibrant expressions of this traditional Indian art form. Soumya Singh, a Class XI-B student from Salwan Public School, Gurugram, truly excelled, earning first prize for her exceptionally intricate and authentic depiction of the ancient Odisha art. Her work was highly praised for its skillful representation of Pattachitra’s traditional motifs.

Salwan's Chess Prodigy

Heartfelt congratulations to Marlyn Suzania of Grade II for securing 1st place in the Under-08 Girls category at the prestigious 1st Shatranj India Open International FIDE Rated Rapid Chess Tournament, held on 19 July 2025 at Thyagaraj Sports Complex, Delhi. Competing against 563 participants across 9 intense rounds, Marlyn’s focus, strategy, and talent helped her emerge as the undisputed champion in her category. Her outstanding achievement reflects the spirit of excellence Salwan Pride stands for and marks a proud moment for the school community.

Samvid 4.0: A Triumph of Intellect and Creativity

SPS Gurugram is proud to share students’ remarkable participation in SAMVID 4.0 – Balancing the Intellect, an inter-school event held on July 18, 2025, at Rotary Public School, Gurugram. Seven students represented the school, showcasing creativity, intellect, and teamwork. Congratulations to Samarsh Modi (Grade IX) and Urvang Kalia (Grade X) for securing Third Position in Neoverde, and to Siddarth Sudarsan (Grade II) for winning Third Prize in Athletic Ace. Their achievements reflect dedication and talent. SAMVID 4.0 offered a valuable platform for experiential learning, fostering holistic growth, environmental awareness, and a spirit of healthy competition.

Gallop 1 Horse Riding Test

Angela Braganza, a Class IX student, has achieved a significant milestone in Equestrian Sports, successfully passing the prestigious Galop 1 horse riding test administered by the French Equestrian Federation.

Representing India at the Saumur Horse Ball Europe, Angela was one of only six riders selected for this rigorous examination. Following her success in the preliminary rounds, she underwent an intensive 15-day training programme designed to hone her skills. Her unwavering dedication bore fruit as she not only completed the program successfully but also achieved excellence in the Galop 1 level. Angela has now received her official qualifying certificate, making her eligible to advance to the Galop 2 level. This accomplishment marks a remarkable step forward in her equestrian journey.

‘School of Thoughts’ - Debate Series by SIC, Government of India

Salwan Public School, Rajendra Nagar had the privilege to be one of the 19 National Winners of the SIC-funded projects from the previous academic year. In recognition of this remarkable achievement, the school was invited to participate in the prestigious ‘School of Thoughts’ YouTube debate series, an initiative by the Social Innovation Council (SIC), Government of India.

The series aims to ignite dialogue on contemporary educational issues while nurturing public speaking, critical thinking, and innovation among students. Our team of 12 enthusiastic students engaged in a debate on the topic: ‘Artificial Intelligence in Education: Enhancing Learning or Replacing Teachers?’ The recording was held at the AICTE Headquarters Studio, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, providing students with a professional platform to express their views and exchange ideas on one of the most significant topics shaping the future of education.

The young debaters showcased insight, confidence, and clarity, contributing meaningfully to the national dialogue on education and technology.

Aryan Chawla – JEE Ranking

Aryan Chawla, a student of Class XII-A at Salwan Public School, Rajender Nagar has brought pride to school by securing an impressive All India Rank 4927 in the JEE Advanced Examination. His remarkable achievement reflects his dedication, hard work, and academic excellence. We congratulate Aryan on this significant milestone and wish him continued success in all his future endeavours.

Salwanians Connect Globally: Virtual Exchange with ODA Junior High, Japan

The Salwanians embarked on their first online exchange programme with the students of ODA Junior High School, Osaka, Japan, on Tuesday, 08 July 2025.

This enriching interaction was facilitated by the team from World Classroom and spanned a duration of one hour. The session began with an introductory interaction between the participating teachers, followed by an engaging ice-breaking activity involving students from both schools. Thereafter, participants were divided into breakout rooms where students enthusiastically took part in quizzes based on general knowledge about India and Japan.

The fun-filled and informative exchange was thoroughly enjoyed by all students.

Unlocking Minds: A Journey through the Psychology Internship

Class XII Psychology students from Salwan Public School Rajender Nagar, participated in an enriching internship at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, held in two batches from 02-07 June 2025 and 09-14 June 2025. Guided by clinical psychologists and psychiatrists, students gained hands-on experience in psychological interviewing, MSE, and therapist-client rapport. They explored mental health disorders, therapeutic approaches like CBT and Psychodynamic Therapy, and social psychology themes. The program also highlighted career paths and the importance of community mental health. This experiential learning bridged theory and practice effectively. The school thanks Fortis Hospital for this impactful educational opportunity.

Mental Ability Olympiad

Nimitt Sancheti, a student of Class VII C, at Salwan Public School, Rajender Nagar secured the First Rank at the school level and an impressive Third Rank at the International level in the Mental Ability Olympiad (2024–25) conducted by LogIQids.

Outshining 16.9 lakh participants from 12 countries, Nimitt’s brilliant performance places him among the top young minds globally. Nimitt will now represent the school in the prestigious ‘Young Thinkers Challenge’ organised by LogIQids in collaboration with Techfest, IIT Bombay.

Ritik Bhardwaj of Class 6F, at Salwan Public School, Rajender Nagar, showcased exceptional skills at the Junior Golf Training Programme 2025 held at Delhi Golf Club(15th–24th May), clinching:
