Major General Ajay Khandpur, VSM (Retd)

Major General Ajay Khandpur is a distinguished Army leader with a 37-year career marked by strategic and operational excellence across diverse terrains. He played a key role in promoting indigenisation in defence manufacturing under the “Make in India” initiative, earning the Vishisht Seva Medal. He is also an alumnus of the prestigious National Defence College, New Delhi. He has served in multiple Command, Staff, and Instructional roles, including as an instructor at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, and the School of Artillery, Deolali. During his UNIFIL tenure, he contributed to improving basic and IT infrastructure in schools in South Lebanon.
He holds a BSc from the University of Jammu, a Master of Management Studies from Osmania University, and an M.Phil. from Madras University. An avid golfer and theatre enthusiast, he brings expertise in security management, administration, procurement, teaching, and financial planning. His leadership and strategic insight make him a valuable asset to educational institutions.
