Author Interaction
SPS MV conducted an engaging Author Interaction session on Monday, 17 August 2026 with acclaimed author Ms Shobha Tharoor Srinivasan, offering the students an opportunity to connect with the world of writing and storytelling. The event was attended by students and teachers from all sister branches, adding to the spirit of the literary gathering.
The session featured an insightful talk around her new book, Bird/Dog, during which Ms Srinivasan shared her thoughts on the book, her inspiration and the process of bringing a story to life. Students were given an opportunity to interact with her and ask questions about the book, writing and her journey as an author. Their participation made the conversation lively and engaging.
Students also had the opportunity to get their books signed by Ms Srinivasan, making the interaction a memorable experience for them.

Leh–Kargil–Srinagar Educational Expedition
The Leh–Kargil–Srinagar Educational Expedition, organised by the Salwan Education Trust from 23-29 July 2026, provided six students, accompanied by Sports faculty Ms. Mukta Kapoor, of SPS TDSC with an enriching blend of adventure and experiential learning.
Beginning in Leh, students explored Ladakhi culture and visited Thiksey and Hemis Monasteries, Shanti Stupa, and the Hall of Fame Museum, gaining insights into the region’s heritage and the valour of the Indian Armed Forces. The expedition to Pangong Lake via Chang La Pass offered valuable lessons in geography, biodiversity, and environmental conservation.
Travelling through Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Indus–Zanskar Sangam, Suru Valley, Kargil, and Drass, students developed a deeper appreciation of India’s geography and military history. Visits to the Kargil War Memorial and Tiger Hill View Point strengthened their respect for the sacrifices of our soldiers.
The expedition concluded in Srinagar with a memorable stay on Dal Lake and a Shikara ride, enriching students’ understanding of Kashmir’s culture and traditional way of life. The journey nurtured resilience, teamwork, adaptability, environmental awareness, and national pride.
Salwan Public School Students Excel at the 2nd Festival of Choreographies
Students of SPS RN learning Kathak and Bharatanatyam under the ASPAC programme brought pride to the school by participating in the 2nd Festival of Choreographies held on 19 August 2022 at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi.
The young dancers’ confident presentation and expressive movements were highly appreciated by the audience and the jury. The students’ dedication and passion for classical dance earned them the award for ‘Most Expressional Excellence’.
