Tiranga Run and Tiranga Walk
As part of the patriotic celebrations leading up to Independence Day, SBS RN organised enthusiastic participation in the Tiranga Run and Tiranga Walk, fostering a strong sense of national pride, unity and responsible citizenship among students. On 04 August 2026, around 150 students, accompanied by teachers, participated in the Tiranga Run. Carrying the National Flag with pride, the students ran with enthusiasm and energy, spreading the message of patriotism and unity. Continuing the celebrations, on 13 August 2026, around 180 students, accompanied by teachers, participated in the Tiranga Walk through Old Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi.
The sight of students walking proudly with the Tricolour created a vibrant patriotic atmosphere and conveyed a powerful message of national unity and pride. These activities provided students with an opportunity to celebrate the spirit of India beyond the classroom, while promoting fitness, discipline, teamwork and respect for the National Flag. The enthusiastic participation of students and teachers reflected the school community’s shared commitment to the values of unity, patriotism and responsible citizenship.
The Tiranga Run and Tiranga Walk were memorable expressions of the school’s belief that patriotism is not merely a feeling, but a shared responsibility towards the nation.
Participation in Tiranga Rally 2026
As part of Tiranga Rally 2026, organised under the aegis of the Government of NCT of Delhi, 35 NCC cadets from SBS RN participated in the rally held on 12 August 2026.
The rally commenced from Vijay Chowk and proceeded towards India Gate, New Delhi, bringing together NCC cadets from various institutions. The participation offered our cadets a meaningful opportunity to display discipline, patriotism, unity and national pride.
The enthusiastic involvement of the cadets reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing responsible, disciplined and patriotic young citizens who uphold the values of unity, service and devotion to the nation.

ATL Exhibition
SGS RN Nagar held the ATL Exhibition on 14 August 2026 that showcased 12 innovative student-led projects, including an Intelligent Traffic Management System, Smart Medicine Reminder, Smart Railway Track, Smart Pest Box, AutoShade, and Alcohol Detector, among others.
Each project was presented in an engaging and interactive manner, with students explaining their ideas enthusiastically and confidently.
Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign
SGS RN organised various activities under the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign from from 03 August 2026 to 15 August 2026, to celebrate the 80th Independence Day. The activities included Tiranga Walk, Poster Making, Painting, Drawing, Tricolour Collage Making, Debate, Essay Writing, Speech, Quiz Competitions, Patriotic Cultural Programmes, Plantation Drive, and Cleanliness Drive.
A special morning assembly was conducted to create awareness about the importance of the National Flag and India’s freedom struggle. Students were also encouraged to hoist the National Flag at their homes and follow the Flag Code of India.
The campaign saw enthusiastic participation from students and teachers. These activities helped students develop patriotism, respect for the National Flag, and a sense of responsibility towards the nation. Overall, the campaign was conducted successfully and achieved its objectives.
Lippan Art
Class XII students of Home Science at SGS RN prepared Lippan Art which is a traditional mural craft from the Kutch region of Gujarat. Simple raw materials like clay, mirrors, bright colours were used to make aesthetically beautiful paintings. Students were given free hand to choose the design on their own and they came up with varied designs ranging from their own names to geometric patterns. Some even tried to use their flower making skills in Lippan Art.
Visit to E-Waste Aggregation Centre, Mandoli
As part of an initiative to create awareness about electronic waste, 52 students of Classes XI and XII from SGS RN visited the E-Waste Aggregation Centre in Mandoli, Shahdara on 19 August 2026. The visit was part of the ‘Clean to Green’ initiative, run jointly by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and RLG Company, aimed at spreading awareness about e-waste and promoting its proper collection and disposal. During the visit, students gained valuable exposure to the process of e-waste collection and learned about the growing volume of electronic waste generated today. The visit proved to be an enriching learning experience, encouraging students to become more responsible and environmentally conscious citizens.

Parent Workshop
An interactive online parent workshop on ‘The Science of Attention: Why Children Behave the Way They Do’ was conducted by SMS GGM on 01 August 2026 by Ms. Sona, Headmistress and Ms. Nirdeshika Jain, School Counsellor.
The session focused on helping parents understand the connection between a child’s attention, emotions, behaviour, and developing brain. Parents were encouraged to look beyond challenging behaviours and understand the underlying needs and emotions behind them.
Practical strategies such as creating consistent routines, reducing distractions, giving clear instructions, acknowledging positive behaviour, and spending meaningful time with children were discussed with parents. The session reinforced the importance of responding with empathy, patience, and appropriate boundaries to support children’s overall development.
The workshop provided parents with meaningful insights and practical tools to nurture better attention, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour in children.
Together We Move: An Intergenerational Yoga & Zumba Experience
SMS GGM organised a joyful Yoga & Zumba Morning for students and parents on Saturday, 29 August 2026, creating a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together and begin the weekend with energy, positivity, and wellness.
The morning began with a rejuvenating Yoga session led by Shri Ram Prakash Ji, one of our Grandparents, where participants explored mindful breathing, gentle stretches, balance, and relaxation. The calm and refreshing session was followed by an energetic Zumba session led by Ms. Radhika, Dance Teacher filling the morning with lively music, movement, and enthusiasm.
The session encouraged students and parents to embrace the importance of physical activity, mindfulness, and healthy living while enjoying quality time together. More than just a fitness activity, it was a celebration of community, connection, and well-being.
